AMP Brings Together Communities for Earthquake Relief

The Christchurch earthquake hit close to home for AMP Capital Investors – AMP’s The Palms Shopping Center is in Christchurch, and though the center is again open for business, a lot of center employees and shoppers have been affected.

So it should come as no surprise that AMP is doing all it can to help the city recover. Last week, all of AMP’s shopping centers in Auckland and the Bay of Plenty opened collection points for donations of non-perishable food items and cash.

The AMP Foundation, AMP’s charitable arm, has also announced it will donate $100,000 to the Christchurch Mayoral Relief Fund, which will go to assisting the victims of the quake. The foundation will also dollar-match fundraising by AMP Advisers across the country to help get the city back on its feet, up to $50,000.
