A Better Easter for Those in Need
Small acts can make a big difference. In this case, the difference might be between a miserable Easter and a bit of holiday joy.
The Octagon and Eden Shopping Centre are trying to make this weekend a bit brighter with their Easter appeal. They’re asking the simplest favor of shoppers: buy an extra candy Easter egg or two and hand them at customer service.
With shoppers expected to spend billions this weekend, a few extra dollars on candy seems like a pretty small request. In exchange, the folks at Wycombe Homeless Connection and The Donna Louise Children‘s Hospice will get to have a proper Easter, eggs and all.
“Every Easter egg that is donated will help to make a difference to children and their families at the hospice,” said Emma Jones, Fundraiser at the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice. “We urge shoppers to remember the hospice when they are out shopping and to just slip a spare egg into their basket for an egg-stra special treat.”
