Red Nose Day is coming up
Cause Marketing: Cause Marketing is the art of combining your commercial brand with a non-profit issue. Cause marketing campaigns have years of history and range from relatively superficial tactical partnerships, to long-term, strategic alliances that penetrate deeply into business and nonprofit organizations.
Red Nose Day 09 is nearly here. Leading up to March 13, people across the UK are being asked to Do Something Funny For Money. The fundraising events support Comic Relief, a charity that funds projects across the UK and Africa. The projects they fund address issues including domestic violence, mental health, HIV and AIDS, and many more.
Braehead Shopping Centre is taking part by turning the its 40-metre high observation wheel bright red. The iconic wheel can be seen for miles, and the makeover brings a lot of attention for Red Nose Day.
Is your shopping centre planning anything for Red Nose Day? Email us, or leave a comment to let us know.

Viral Marketing: Also known as Word of Mouth Advertising. Any strategy that encourages individuals to pass on a marketing message to others, thus creating the potential for exponential growth in the message’s exposure and influence. Just like viruses, such strategies take advantage of rapid multiplication to explode the message to thousands, even to millions.
Want to know how to rack up the views on YouTube? It’s easy. Find a cute animal, and film it doing something funny. You’ll have instant success.
Samsung makes great use of this rule with its ad for its UltraTouch S8300. With 38 cute animals, the video has proved irresistible to thousands on the Internet.
